Back to Africa

Hey Team CareGivers (TCG Family and Friends)!

It’s time to go back to Africa for a couple of weeks!  The plan is for me to co-labor with my OMS Supervisor to train Trainers in Liberia and Sierra Leone.  Those trained will train church planters to establish and grow healthy churches who can plant more churches.  Prayers are appreciated!

I was reminded that Paul told readers what he was praying about for them, but he also shared prayer requests with them.  On one occasion he simply stated, “Pray for us.” (I Thess.5:25)  Later he wrote to the same group, “Pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.” (II Thess.3:1-2)

Every trip is it’s own adventure, even though there are some basic similarities.  There are some general things to pray about for each trip, but there are specifics that need intercessory prayer for each journey.  General prayers include God getting maximum glory, travels that are safe, trouble-free, and timely;  health, plenty of pure drinking water, successful training that is perpetual, and other generic items and dynamics.

Specifically, prayer requests could include my supervisor and I clearly teach the Term 2 and Term 3 material, and that the Trainers understand it and teach the church planters.  Prayers are also requested to be able to make deliveries to loved ones from friends and families in the states, and to meet baby Wade Jawara (named after me) for the first time in Sierra Leone.  A prayer request is needed for crossing the border between the two countries where we will train.  Planning and organizing future trainings and travels while we are together is another prayer request.  This list could continue for a while, but I hope more than anything that you will be praying for me and the team as we continue to endeavor to plant a church in every village in Africa by 2050.

I’ll be praying for you!

In Him,

Wade
