Christmas Prep

Hey Team CareGivers (TCG Family and Friends)!

It’s been a fun, unusual time in preparation for Christmas.  In the middle of the tornado tragedies, personal losses, and general challenges of life, you have still produced a lot of joy.  It was fun to hear footsteps racing down the hall to be the first one with the right answers to get gift cards during our trivia game.  I have enjoyed hang time with some of you as you rang the Salvation Army bell.  It’s been fun for me to ring the bell for the first time in my life.  We have enjoyed a lot of Christmas preparation, anticipation, and laughter at home, too.

I used to read the jokes in the “Reader’s Digest” years ago.  It crossed my mind to see if the old magazine was still around and offered any Christmas humor.  I stumbled onto a tidbit via the HuffingtonPost.com:

“Our new neighbors thought our Wi-Fi  network was our last name.  So when they gave us a Christmas card, they addressed it to “The Linksys Family.”  Hello!

Anyway, one of the reasons that I love and enjoy God so much is His amazing, unusual, and joyful ways of doing things.  He even made a visit to earth arriving as a baby!  Wow!  Now that’s a joyful fun way to come to earth!

In Him,

Wade

“Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.  For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger (Luke 2:10-12).”
