Essential Hope

Hey Team CareGivers (TCG Family and Friends)!
Hope is so essential to our lives! Once again the lyrics of a song came to mind.
I encountered the song “Where Hope is Still Alive” in an Easter musical entitled
“One Voice”.
There is a scene where the woman caught in adultery is thrown down before
Jesus by her accusers. The religious leader’s expectations of Jesus weren’t met
when He offered her forgiveness instead of condemnation from the law.
Overwhelmed by Jesus’ love and compassion she sings a song of how hope
through Him is her future. She felt that she had dishonored God beyond
forgiveness, but she learned and experienced that Jesus’ love is beyond our sin.
So she sang, “The guilty weight of all I’ve done,
Hung like a stone upon my shoulder;
To countless empty arms I’ve run,
And bit by bit my heart’s grown colder.
But still there’s mercy left for me,
For in the eyes of Jesus Christ I see..
A place where hope is still alive,
Where love remains for me unshaken,
Where shattered dreams can still survive.
Where grace is freely given,
A place where hope is still alive.”
Real, deep, lasting, eternal hope is found in a person—Jesus Christ.

After serving as a church pastor for over four decades, Wade is now the director of Graber Ministries and the corporate Chaplain for TCG Services.
