We Are All Valuable

Hey Team CareGivers (TCG Family and Friends!
What is the value of a human life? What price tag can you put on a fellow human being?
We may try to calculate a person’s value by their quality of life, their contributions to the human race,
the sharing of their resources, or the conglomerate of all of their humanitarian endeavors.
God places the same value on each of us because He made us. He made an equal sacrifice for
every human being through the death of His Son Jesus on the cross. The old saying is “The ground
is level at the foot of the cross.” The same remedy for sin for every individual, whether mildly or wildly against God,
is still the same–the priceless and precious blood of Jesus.
This morning I’ve been thinking about the value of human life from a different perspective. A friend in Liberia let
me know that two of his uncles died within a day of each other. One died of Tetanus from a cut from a rusty piece of iron
in the dump, and the other died of “severe running stomach”/diarrhea. The preventative shot or over the counter pill for a
few dollars could have saved both lives. In that setting, neither was available or affordable. Imagine losing a loved one for
the lack of a $3 remedy!
Still, the value of their lives were not calculated by the cost of their physical cure, but by the value their Creator placed on them.
God has placed the same value on you—unconditional love and the life of His Son.
In Him,
Wade
“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us(Rom. 5:8).”
